Our History



Brownsboro Hardware & Paint opened in the fall of 1960 at 4858 Brownsboro Road in Louisville, Kentucky.



The store has undergone two major expansions, most recently in 2008 when it added 1/3 more retail square footage. Jim & Marilyn Lehrer have owned Brownsboro Hardware & Paint since June of 1998.

Our Staff



Our experienced staff of 18 has over 300 years of combined hardware experience to help with your every need! This includes our two employees in our U.S. Post Office located right in the Hardware Store.

Giving Back



Besides the many local charities that we contribute to on an annual basis, we have a special focus on two local programs.



Louisville Cornhole Cup


This event has raised over $25,000 for the STAR Program, for children and families with Autism. This charity event is held each fall at Waterfront Park in Louisville.



Adopt-A-Mile (formerly the Green Mile Program

)

Our staff works 4 + times a year to keep a large section of Lime Kiln Lane clean of trash. In 2006 Brownsboro Hardware & Paint was awarded the coveted "Extra Mile Award" from Louisville's Mayor Jerry Abramson.
